Our Story
Junkaroo started with one truck, one phone, and one simple promise — turn up on time, work hard, and leave the place cleaner than we found it. Tony, our founder, grew up in Melbourne’s bayside and saw too many neighbours stuck with overpriced skip bins and no-show operators.
More than ten years on, we’re still the crew people call when a job needs to be done properly. From single-item pickups to full deceased estate clear-outs, we treat every home and every customer with the same care.

Every load we collect is sorted with one goal: keep as much as possible out of landfill. We divert around 85% of what we collect through donation, reuse, and certified recycling partners across Victoria.

How we sort your load
1. Collect
Our crew loads everything with care — no mixing of recyclables and general waste at the kerb.
2. Sort at the depot
Metals, e-waste, timber, mattresses and reusable goods are separated by hand.
3. Donate & recycle
Reusable items go to charity partners; recyclables go to certified Victorian facilities.
4. Dispose responsibly
Only what truly cannot be reused or recycled goes to landfill — all transfer fees included.
